Omega Dubai Desert Classic tips
Hot tip – Bernd Wiesberger, 35-1.
The prices for the players at the top of the market – Hatton, Fleetwood, and Morikawa – look a bit skinny, but they have helped make Wiesberger’s odds a lot more attractive.
It is worth remembering he won three times in 2019 and almost finished the year as European No 1.
He was a bit ragged in Abu Dhabi last week, but still made 14 birdies and an eagle.
And he will be pulling out all the stops in search of a Ryder Cup debut.

Medium price – Romain Langasque, 70-1.
Last year’s Wales Open winner has a big future.
He is only 25, and has been earmarked for stardom since he won the 2015 Amateur Championship, and followed up by shooting 31 in the back nine at Augusta, a Masters record for an amateur.
Tied 16th in Abu Dhabi, but would have been closer to the leaders if he had not ‘blown up’ and played the back nine on two over on Sunday – understandable as this was his first outing since testing positive for coronavirus at the start of November.
Long shot – Ashun Wu, 400-1
The three-time European Tour winner’s recent form is far from inspiring, but he posted his most recent top ten finish when he was tied sixth in this event last year.
That makes him a very tempting each way proposition.
The Chinese star has also won twice on the Japan Tour, and will not back off if he claws his way onto the leaderboard in Dubai.
Missed the cut in Abu Dhabi, but that was his first start in more than two months.
