Inesis: Making golf affordable to Filipinos
Golf does not require height and a huge physique to excel, making it a perfect sport for Filipinos.
The Philippines has many great golfers, but the sport is yet to attain mainstream popularity among Pinoys.
The problem possibly lies in the notion that golf is a sport for the elite, which is perfectly understandable considering the stiff cost of playing golf.
Inesis Golf entered the Philippine market in 2017 with the mission to making the sport available to all Filipinos.
“Our main purpose is to make golf accessible to all — offering a wide and complete range of golf products that are of good quality, relevant, affordable, reliable and sustainable,” said Inesis Alabang Team Leader Venjo Reyes, who is also a former touring pro and golf instructor.
“We provide the lowest barrier to entry to the sport,” added Reyes.
Despite the economic downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Inesis saw an uptrend as more people are trying golf —a sport that requires minimal physical contact — as an alternative to more popular sports. “Golf has experienced a resurgence during this pandemic, with a lot of beginners shifting from other sports not allowed at the moment to golf,” Reyes said.
Though its goal is to provide affordable golf equipment and accessories, Inesis makes sure that its products meet the European Quality Standards.
“We make golf easier; our gift is to make the pleasures and benefits of the sport accessible to all,” said Reyes.
Inesis currently has three branches — Decathlon Alabang, Decathlon Pasig and Decathlon Masinag.
