After completing nine holes of match play, the Thursday night ladies' golf league at Ballston Spa Country Club moved on to the tradition of outdoor dining at tables of four with that day's playing partners.
The walk to the clubhouse included passing by the club’s entrance, where the flag was being flown at half-staff.
The league president — Ballston Spa High School golf coach Cindy Walkanowski — made some announcements and asked for a moment of silence.
Ladies were sharing stories about longtime member and Capital Region golfer Suzie Mansfield, who died Tuesday after a long battle with skin cancer. The Guilderland resident was 71.
