Back in Business!

It was a bit after 7pm on Friday May 29th when I was notified that according to Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-105, Section 2, four Michigan counties were allowed to reopen immediately due to the historic flooding in the area; our county, Saginaw County, being one of them.

Our goal from the beginning of the shutdown was to be ready to open the next day after being notified. I am proud to say that by 11am on Saturday, May 30th we were welcoming guests to our dining rooms. While it was only 300 that day and 400 on Sunday, May 31st; it was clear that the people of Michigan are ready to get out of the house.

By Monday June 1st, another Executive Order (it’s been hard to keep track) allowed for all restaurants and bars in Michigan to open at 50% capacity by June 8th, all retail shops can open without appointment by June 4th and golf courses can allow two golfers per cart and begin selling alcohol June 8th as well.

We will begin room sales at Zehnder’s Splash Village June 8th and the use of our outdoor pool patio will be available to our guests. I anticipate our indoor waterparks will be open for use prior to the Fourth of July holiday.

Our very popular Zehnder’s Kids Camp will be available this summer as well. We’re working on the final calendar but I know we will be starting mid-June with dates in August as well. Watch our website www.zehnders.com for updates.

We’re back in business. We’re ready when you are!

Hospitably Yours,

Al Zehnder, CEO
