Spiio is offering free sensors to golf courses affected by COVID-19.
Since many clubs are experiencing layoffs and reduced hours for their grounds’ staff, Spiio recognizes that having access on a phone to data on the greens is more important than ever before.
Spiio’s data allows golf course maintenance staff to:
- Check moisture levels on greens to determine irrigation schedules;
- Access data remotely from their phone or computer;
- Time applications such as PGRs, fertilizers and preemergents based on soil temperature; and
- Detect and track salinity levels and know the impact of rainfall and irrigation.
