With the new World Handicap System (WHS) coming into effect toward the end of 2020 it would be good to get to grips with the fundamentals of the system.

Key points from the presentation below
- You are encouraged to have as many entries as possible on your handicap record before 31st Oct 2020.
- Keep an eye out for Club information evenings in Q2 2020.
- Familiarize yourself with terms Handicap Index, Course Rating, Slope Rating, Course Handicap & Playing Handicap.
- Low Slope Rating implies as easier course to play than one with a higher Slope Rating.
- Handicap Index will be the average of the lowest 8 of the 20 most recent Score Differentials.
- Implementation of WHS in Nov 2020.
