[Men's Golf] SSU men finish 10th at Spring Arbor Fall Classic
Behind a 19th place finish from BJ Knox and further improvement from Jordan Hughes that saw the latter collect a 29th place showing overall, the men's golf program was able to retain its top-10 standing following the second day of the Spring Arbor Fall Classic as the Bears placed 10th on the Grande Golf Course grounds in Jackson, Mich. on Tuesday.
Knox, who shot a 79 in the opening round and a 70 over the second 18 holes of competition to put himself in a tie for 11th after the opening day, shot a 79 again over the final 18 holes of competition but still came up with a total stroke line of 228 to finish inside the top-10. His second-18 hole stroke of 70, which put the sophomore with a two-under par round, helped the Maysville, Ky. native finish with a solid 12-over 228 over the 54-hole tournament.
