[Football] SWJCFC: Apaches road warriors in 2019
LINDALE — The SWJCFC coaches are in agreement that the league is the toughest in the country, but they also noted a national championship title is needed to put the football conference back on the map.
The coaches, athletic directors and some of the school presidents, including Tyler Junior College's Dr. Juan E. Mejia, gathered on Friday for the annual Southwest Junior College Football Conference Media Day at Garden Valley Resort & Golf Club.
"Winning a national championship for the conference is needed, ultimately that's the goal for us at TJC," first-year Apaches coach Thomas Rocco said.
