It was the Sean O Neill Memorial Cup competition at Silverwood On Saturday and with the course in great condition and there were some great scores, the winner with 41 pts was Owen Callaghan, he had a front nine score of 22 pts with one birdie at the 7th hole, five pars at the 1st 4th 6th 8th and 9th holes, and three single bogeys, and a back nine of 19 pts that contained two birdies at the 12th and 14th holes, two pars at the 13th and 18th holes, one no-score at the 15th hole, one double bogey at the 16th hole, and another three single bogeys to win by one shot.
In 2nd place was Jim Blevins with 40 pts, he had a front nine score of 20 pts with one birdie at the 4th hole, three pars at the 3rd 7th and 8th holes, three single bogeys at the 2nd 6th and 9th holes, one double bogey at the 1st hole, and a quad bogey at the 5th hole, his back nine of 20 pts had another birdie at the 17th hole, one par at the 13th hole, three double bogeys at the 10th 11th and 15th holes, and three single bogeys.
In 3rd place was Gavin Mc Cabrey with 40 pts, he had a front nine of 20 pts with two birdies at the 1st and 9th holes, two pars at the 2nd and 8thholes, and five single bogeys, his back nine of 20 pts, included six pars at the 10th 12th 14th 16th 17th and 18th holes, one double bogey at the 13th hole, and two single bogeys.
The gross prize was won by Ethan Headley with a gross 73, he had a front nine of 34 with two birdies at the 7th and 8th holes, one bogey at the 4th hole, and six pars, and a back nine of 39 with one birdie at the 13th hole, one double bogey at the 11th hole, one bogey at the 16th hole, and six pars.
4th place went to John Millar with 39 pts, he had a front nine of 20 pts with one birdie at the 4th hole, five pars at the 1st 3rd 7th 8th and 9th holes, and three single bogeys, to go with his back nine of 19 pts that had six pars at the 10th 13th 14th 15th 17th and 18th holes, and three single bogeys.
5th place went to Gerry Harbinson with 38 pts, he had 17 pts on his front nine, and 21 pts on his back nine.
The senior prize was by Patrick Lavery with 38 pts.
