Owen Wins The Sean O Neill Memorial Cup

It was the Sean O Neill Memorial Cup competition at Silverwood On Saturday and with the course in great condition and there were some great scores, the winner with 41 pts was Owen Callaghan, he had a front nine score of 22 pts with one birdie at the 7^th hole, five pars at the 1^st 4^th 6^th 8^th and 9^th holes, and three single bogeys, and a back nine of 19 pts that contained two birdies at the 12^th and 14^th holes, two pars at the 13^th and 18^th holes, one no-score at the 15^th hole, one double bogey at the 16^th hole, and another three single bogeys to win by one shot.

In 2nd place was Jim Blevins with 40 pts, he had a front nine score of 20 pts with one birdie at the 4^th hole, three pars at the 3^rd 7^th and 8^th holes, three single bogeys at the 2^nd 6^th and 9^th holes, one double bogey at the 1^st hole, and a quad bogey at the 5^th hole, his back nine of 20 pts had another birdie at the 17^th hole, one par at the 13^th hole, three double bogeys at the 10^th 11^th and 15^th holes, and three single bogeys.

In 3^rd place was Gavin Mc Cabrey with 40 pts, he had a front nine of 20 pts with two birdies at the 1^st and 9^th holes, two pars at the 2^nd and 8^thholes, and five single bogeys, his back nine of 20 pts, included six pars at the 10^th 12^th 14^th 16^th 17^th and 18^th holes, one double bogey at the 13^th hole, and two single bogeys.

The gross prize was won by Ethan Headley with a gross 73, he had a front nine of 34 with two birdies at the 7^th and 8^th holes, one bogey at the 4^th hole, and six pars, and a back nine of 39 with one birdie at the 13^th hole, one double bogey at the 11^th hole, one bogey at the 16^th hole, and six pars.

4^th place went to John Millar with 39 pts, he had a front nine of 20 pts with one birdie at the 4^th hole, five pars at the 1^st 3^rd 7^th 8^th and 9^th holes, and three single bogeys, to go with his back nine of 19 pts that had six pars at the 10^th 13^th 14^th 15^th 17^th and 18^th holes, and three single bogeys.

5^th place went to Gerry Harbinson with 38 pts, he had 17 pts on his front nine, and 21 pts on his back nine.

The senior prize was by Patrick Lavery with 38 pts.
