KSU Women's Golf Coach Greg RobertsonGolfweek reports that Oklahoma State is expected to announce Kent State coach Greg Robertson as it next women’s head coach in the very near future.

Robertson just completed his sixth year at Kent State where he twice guided the Golden Flashes to NCAA match play competition in 2017 and 2018. Kent State is the only non-power five school to advance to match play since the NCAA switched the format in 2015. Robertson’s team ended the season ranked 11th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings and advanced to the NCAA Championship.

Prior to his time at Kent State, Robertson spent 11 years at Purdue with the men’s and women’s teams as the associate head coach.

Robertson began his coaching career in 2001 as a volunteer assistant coach at Oklahoma State, where he also played college golf. He transferred to the University of New Mexico for his senior season and helped the Lobos win the 1998 NCAA West Regional.

Maddi SwaneyWith Robertson’s departure to Stillwater, many will expect Maddi Swaney as the frontrunner to replace Robertson. Swaney played for Kent State and spent the last eight years as the assistant coach. She was named the WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year during the 2015-16 season.
