Shane Wins Club Competition

It was a lovely day for golf at Silverwood Golf Club on Saturday and the winner with a score of 42 pts was Shane Tallon, Shane had a front nine of 21 pts with three pars at the 3^rd 4^th and 7^th holes, one double bogey at the 5^th hole, and five single bogeys, to go with a back nine of 21pts, that included three more pars at the 10^th 13^th and 17^th holes, one double bogey at the 11^th hole, and five single bogeys to win by three shots.

In 2^nd place was John Lynch with 39 pts, he had a front nine of 19 pts, with only one bogey at the 9^th hole and eight pars, and a back nine of 20 pts with one birdie at the 18^th hole, two bogeys at the 14^th and 16^th holes, and another six pars for a gross 74.

In 3^rd place was Michael Gorman with 39 pts, he had a front nine of 20 pts with one birdie at the 3^rd hole, one double bogey at the 1^st hole, two single bogeys at the 2^nd and 5^th holes, and five pars, and a back nine of 19 pts, with six pars at the 10^th 11^th 12^th 13^th 15^th and 17^th holes, two single bogeys at the 14^th and 16^th holes, and a costly double bogey at the 18^th holes.

The gross prize was won again by Ethan Headley who is playing great golf at the moment, he had a level par round of golf with one birdie at the 7^th hole, one bogey at the 2^nd hole, and sixteen pars on his card, and he is running away with the player of the year award so far.

4^th place went to Henry Noble with 39 pts, he had a front nine of 21 pts with only two bogeys at the 2^nd and 7^th holes, and seven pars, and a back nine of 18 pts with two double bogeys at the 12^th and 16^th holes, two single bogeys at the 11^th and 18^th holes, and five pars.

5^th place went to Gerry Harbinson with 38 pts, he had 19 pts on his front nine, and 19 pts on his back nine.

The senior prize was won by Patrick Mc Caughley with 37 pts.
