ALL IRELAND TEAM BOW OUT
Following on from successes against Skerries and Roganstown, our All Ireland fourball team were Beaten by a very strong Royal Tara Side when all three away matches were lost. Our thanks go to the panel for their effort and commitment, and we wish our opponents the best of luck and look forward to next year.
Our Fingal Seniors fared better when meeting Balcarrick as they took all the home points and snatched a win and draw from the 3 away matches. A Fine 9- 3 win For managers Tom Rooney and John Leonard.
COMING UP
McDONNELL CUP
Saturday 1st Of June
Sees the first round of the Mcdonnell cup with Balcarrick as our opponents.We are the away team for this one with two home matches and three away. Managers are Colm and Eoghan and they would appreciate if a few of you could come out in support. Tee off at 2.45 both venues
O’GRADY CUP
Monday 3rd June
Our O’grady Cup team are opening their campaign against Lucan both matches tee off at 3.00 and we have the home advantage.Again Managers Alison and Andrew would appreciate all the support we can get to retain the title they won in such style last year.
JUNIOR CUP
Saturday 8th June
The Qualifying round for this prestigious tournament takes place at the seaside venue of Corballis. Manager Andrew and his team are on the tee at 9.40am playing alongside Laytown Bettystown. A top four placing will get us entry to the match play stage on Sunday 9th so again if you can try and get out to see your team I promise you the golf will be of the highest calibre.
UDEN CUP
Sunday 9th June
Second round of the Uden cup against Swords Open GC With Tee of in both venues set for 2pm. Swords have the Home advantage here but, after our exploits in Sutton, that won’t intimidate Manager Gary’s team. Again All support will be appreciated.
FRED PERRY TROPHY
Tuesday 11th June
The team are straining at the leash to get into our next match against Ardee Golf Club. Ardee will be strong opponents but as we have the home advantage here, Managers John and Brendan are confident that we will stake a place in the quarter final. Get out and cheer us on if you can.
BARTON CUP
Friday 14th June
Hot on the heels of superb performances our lads are again in action, this time against St Annes GC. Manager Eoghan and his panel are completely focussed on the task ahead. We have home advantage in this one but there is no room for complacency if we are to progress. Tee off in Hollywood at 4.18 pm and St Annes at 4.55pm. The golf in these matches will be of the highest standard so don’t miss it.
JIMMY BRUEN
Saturday 15th June
This qualifying round is in Clontarf GC. and we need a top four finish to gain entry to the matchplay stages on Sunday 16th June. we tee off at 12.30 and are partnered with Corrstown GC and St Magaret’s GC. Manager John would appreciate all available support for this one.
