Notes: As our Lady Captains Prize (Mrs Mary O’ Doherty) is fast approaching on Sunday 9th June, to enable ladies get three cards in there is also be an extended competition in operation until 31st May. Our Senior cup team were out in action at the weekend and they did us very proud when they beat Castletroy 3/2 to reach the quarter finals against the All Ireland Champions Lahinch. The senior cup team accepted the challenge and the golf was spectacular with Aoife Lowry showing that she can mix it with the best having a great battle with Chloe Ryan from Castletroy who is a plus three handicapper producing an eagle and birdies galore. Thanks to our team for their effort Aoife Lowry, Kaelin O’Keefe, Marian Finn, Yvonne Daly, Katherine Morrissey and thanks also to caddies and our regular supporters. The Australian Spoons is currently being played at the moment and will be extended until the 31st May 18 holes stableford greensomes and the district final will be in Killorglin golf club. Our annual open ‘pink’ day was once again a huge success with 165 playing and honouring the competition, all monies raised will go towards breast cancer research. Many thanks to the sponsors Mary and Marian Riordan for sponsoring this very worthwhile cause
