A warm welcome to everyone to our first newsletter of the year!

It’s been a hectic winter with lots of work on the golf course, team changes across some of the business, considerable investment in kitchen equipment, lots of additional classes added to the health and fitness timetable each week, new events being planned….and all with the primary view that you, our members, are able to have the best possible facilities and value for the coming year.

I think we’d all agree the golf course is playing really well and we have really high hopes for the new season after all the work that Paul and his team have put in over the winter – feedback has been great, so thank you all, it does make a difference for the team to hear. Andy and the rest of the golf committee are up and running and full of energy ready for the new golf season too, which is great to see. We also have a big focus on building the junior golf membership for 2019 – a good thing for the business and for the club overall.

The change to the Clubhouse facilities over the winter (moving the main restaurant to the Terrace from the Atrium) now means we can keep this facility open all year, which is hugely important to both health & fitness and golf members alike.

The events team have also been busy planning.  We had a successful “practice run” with a lovely event at Valentine’s, just to make sure all the kitchen equipment and service standards were up and running properly – we will now roll out a series of events during the year and hope you’ll enjoy being part of those, they’re great fun and incredible value.

The Health and Fitness club is just getting past its busiest time of year….busy it certainly has been and the additional classes have gone down really well – it’s something that we’ll review throughout the year and Annie is always open to any new ideas.

Next door in the Spa it has been a hectic few weeks getting the new team together, but we are delighted to have Rachel join us from Gaia Spa in Plymouth and prior to that Harbour Hotel, Sidmouth – exciting times ahead with the Spa, so watch this space!

Finally, as always thank you for your continued support, here’s hoping for a great year ahead!
