San Antonio, Texas – The Grand View University men's golf team competed in the Shootout in San Antonio on March 4th and 5th. The event was hosted at TPC San Antonio on the Canyon and Oaks course. The Vikings finished in 13th in an extremely competitive field. Half of the teams were either ranked in the Top-25 or were receiving votes.

Grand View produced a solid first round score as a team that put them in a tie for 7th-place, but a rough second round pushed the team back on the team placings.

Parker Davidson (JR/Pleasant Hill, IA) led the Vikings on the leaderboard. Davidson shot a 157 (79-78) which placed him in a tie for 17th-place. The junior's second round score of 78 was the lowest shot by a Viking in the tournament. Freshman Evan Callaghan (FR/Stellarton, Canada) finished with a 167 (79-88) and finished second on the leaderboard for Grand View.

No. 1 Oklahoma City won the Shootout in San Antonio with an overall score of 802 (301-301). Jack Madden of Oklahoma City won the event by shooting a 146 (71-75). Full results can be seen below.
