On our 3 day seminar in Melbourne with the R&A team they were quite clear - other than on the green backing away from stance cannot avoid penalty. This to me is a u-turn of the second bullet point in 10.2b(4). Is this to placate the players who could not get their head around it? We were told 10.2b(4) was introduced to speed up play and now with this 'clarification' we are back where we started. There appears no clarification on how many times the player may to and fro lining up i.e. line up & back away, and then again, and again, and again.

I for one am not much happier just much more speechless [can one be more speechless?]
