[Men's Golf] Trevecca Men's Golf | Two Signed for Trojans 2019-20 Recruiting Class

NASHVILLE –Trevecca Nazarene University director of golf David Head has added Matthew Jeffe (South Wales, N.Y.) to the men's golf program. He joins Ryan Demit (Milton, Ga.) who joined the Trojans earlier this fall.

MATTHEW JEFFE

Jeffe signed with Trevecca from South Wales, New York where he attended East Aurora High School. Jeffe was coached at East Aurora by Mike Klimchuck.

"Matthew will be a great addition to the class he's a talented young golfer who has some tournament experience and had some success at the Junior golf level," Head said. "He will no doubt have a positive impact on our program for the next four years."

During Jeffe's prep and amateur career he had several first-place finishes including winning the New York amateur series (74) and the ECIC Championship (72).

Jeffe finished sixth in both the Erie County Junior Amateur (73-77) and the Erie County Stroke Play (71-76).

An honor student and varsity captain, Jeffe competed in the International Junior Masters (76-78) finishing 23rd and was a NYSHSAA State Participant.

RYAN DEMIT

Demit is originally from Milton, Georgia where he attended Cambridge High School. Demit was coached at Cambridge by Bob Bordas.

Demit had several top-five finishes while in high school. At the SJGT Wynklakes, Demit shot a 74 in both rounds to win the tournament. Demit placed fourth at SJGT Achasta with a two-day total of 73 and 70.

"I couldn't be happier to welcome Ryan to our team," Head said. "He is a talented young golfer who isn't shy about making a commitment to work hard to become the best golfer he can be."

Demit finished fourth in a qualifier tournament for the USGA US Junior Tournament with a 74. Demit placed second in the 2017 Cambridge Cup with a 69. Demit also succeeded in the classroom lettering all four years and was the team captain his junior and senior years.

"We believe he will challenge to make significant contributions starting next season," Head added.
