[Women's Golf] Reinhardt Battles for Runner-Up, Named to Reinhardt Invite All-Tournament Team
WALESKA, Ga. – Bryan College women's golfer Krista Reinhardt (SR/Tampa, Fla.) began day two of the Reinhardt Invitational, being played at the 5804-yard Callahan Links of Waleska, Ga., just four strokes off the lead held by Ryann McCuistion of Tennessee Wesleyan University. Reinhardt rattled off four birdies in the first 10 holes, but she still came to the final hole needing a birdie to tie for the lead. Her third shot on the 505-yard 18th-hole settled in about 12 feet from the pin, setting her up for a putt that would force a sudden-death playoff for the medalist position. After she and Bryan Head Coach Peter Bollant read the putt, deciding on the left edge, Reinhardt firmly stroked the putt for what looked for a moment to be the tying shot only to have the putt slide by on the left side, leaving McCuistion first overall for the tournament.
