Des Moines, IA - Tonight's women's volleyball match was played in memory of long-time Grand View volleyball coach, LeAnn Stefani, who lost her battle with breast cancer on January 4th of 2008 at the age of 39. 

In honor of Coach Stefani, the gate proceeds, proceeds from Rally for the Cure t-shirt sales and a portion of the money raised during the Grand View Athletic Department golf outing each summer is placed into the Le Ann Stefani Memorial scholarship fund that allows the family to select one current women's volleyball student-athlete to be recognized at the annual Dig Pink Match and awarded with the scholarship.
