[Women's Golf] Vikings Compete in NAIA Preview

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – The Grand View women's golf team competed in the star-studded NAIA Preview at Lincoln Park Golf Course. Of the participating teams, 8 were ranked in the Top-20 and 6 in the Top-10 of the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll released last week. The Vikings, who were a golfer down due to sickness, finished in 15th-place.

Karli Kerrigan (JR/Ankeny, IA) was the highest finisher for Grand View. The junior improved her round by 9 strokes between her first and second round while shooting a 155 (82-73). Kimberly Nelson (SR/Miri, Sarawak) finished a single stroke behind Kerrigan. Nelson carded a 156 (80-76).                                                             

No. 2 SCAD – Savannah won the event shooting a total score of 592 (299-293). Katie Dalton of Dalton State won the event following a playoff. There were 4 golfers tied at 144 at the completion of the 2 rounds. Full results can be seen below.
