[Golf] Mickens turns in best score of career; Threshers hang with the pack in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Connor Mickens (SR/Meridian, Kan.) continues to be the talk of the club house at the start of this young season, as the senior turned finished the Southwestern Christian Invite with the best rounds of golf he's recorded in his career. Mickens opened up Day 1 with a blistering round of 70, to finish 2-under par and in a tie for 4th place. He played another solid round on Day 2, finishing even at 72, and placing 5th out of 75 golfers at Lake Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City. The rest of the Thresher squad showed improvement from their previous tournament, and helped the team finish in a tie for eighth place out of 13 total squads.
