OLIVE HILL, Ky. - The University of Rio Grande men's golf team has a two-shot lead following Saturday's opening round of Kentucky Christian University's Fall Invitational at the Hidden Cove Golf Course.
The RedStorm carded a team total of 20-over par 308, which was two strokes better than West Virginia University-Tech's total of 310 and four shots ahead of Shawnee State University's 312.
Rio's low individual score came from junior Logan Sheets (Bidwell, OH), who finished with an 2-over par 74. His score was tied for second among individuals with Shawnee State's Elijah McCarty.
