[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Places Two Golfers in Top-3 at Klocke Family Classic

Marion, Iowa – The Grand View University women's golf team traveled to Hunters Ridge Golf Course to compete in the Klocke Family Classic. The Vikings had two golfers that finished in the Top-3 on the individual leaderboard. The team finished 4th in a field of 10 teams that included participants from NAIA, NCAA Division III, and NJCCA.   

Grand View was led by Kimberly Nelson (SR/Miri, Sarawak). Nelson shot a 151 (76-75) that placed her 2nd on the individual leaderboard at the end of the competition. Karli Kerrigan finished one spot behind Nelson for 3rd-place. Kerrigan shot a 156 (79-77) for a tournament.

Iowa Western CC won the event while shooting a 658 (335-323) as a team. Mount Mercy, Graceland, and Culver-Stockton were the other teams from the Heart of America Conference that participated in the Klocke Family Classic besides Grand View. Lisa Lied of Iowa Western CC won the event. Full results can be seen below.
