[Women's Golf] St. Ambrose wins season-opening CCAC Cup

Becki Meils finished third overall and three other Bees grabbed top-10 finishes as St. Ambrose opened its fall schedule by winning the CCAC Cup at Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood, Ill.
It marked the first tournament victory for SAU since April 4, 2011, when the team won the Lady Statesmen Spring Invitational.
A consistent Bees team opened a seven-shot lead after Monday's opening-round 344 and sealed the win with a 343 in the final round Tuesday. Their 687 was 11 shots better than second-place St. Francis (Ill.). It was also 38 shots better than the SAU total at last year's CCAC Championships played on the same course. Ravisloe will also host the 2019 conference championships in April.
