[General] Brescia's 100 Hole Challenge
On Friday, July 27th the BU Men's/Women's Golf Team took to Henderson Municipal Golf Course for their 1st Annual 100 hole Challenge. Golfers took to the links bright and early Friday morning to play 100 holes of golf in one day to raise money for the BU Golf Program, allowing them to travel to more tournaments. Coach Jason Cox and Assistant Coach Todd Norman led the charge in just a little more than seven and a half hours. Fun was had by all and a bit of history was made along the way. Incoming freshman, Brooklyn Spicer made her first ever hole in one while playing the Men's Tees using an 8 iron on the 6th hole. She was super excited and said that it was hopefully the first of many as she is looking forward to a very promising college career. Coach Jason Cox managed to play one of the 18 hole rounds in a super-fast 45 minutes, carding a 6 under par round in the process. Other Bearcat golfers included Kolton Myatt, Alex Lander, Logan Hart, Ryan Howard, Parker Brown, Allie Holeman, Brooke Hattabaugh, Jaime Jolley, Alex Chandler, Meredith Mayes and Brooklyn Spicer. Special local celebrity appearances were made by Sonny Peters and Mason Roland.
The Bearcat Golf Program could not have pulled it off without the help of our donors and also a few sponsors along the way. Big Barney thank you to the following alumni for their contributions day of: John Condray of Fairway Mortgage for bringing refreshments along with Issac Church of Firedome Pizza bringing well needed and tasty pizza to us. Keep an eye out for future events like the Bearcat Golf Scramble to take place on October 22nd at Ben Hawes City Park. If you would like to play or make a donation to the Bearcat Golf Program, feel free to reach out to Coach Cox at Jason.cox@brescia.edu .
