Concord’s Yealimi Noh rolls to Girls Junior PGA title
Runner-up one year. Runaway winner the next.
Concord’s Yealimi Noh put the finishing touches on a record-setting week Thursday, posting a final-round 3-under 69 to win the Girls Junior PGA Championship in Kentucky by four shots.
Noh’s closing round at Kearney Hill Golf Links pushed her to a tournament-record 24-under. She opened with rounds of 66 and 65 and then all but sealed the deal with a career-best 8-under 64 in Wednesday’s third round.
She swapped positions with defending champion Rose Zhang of Irvine, whose final-round 66 left her alone in second at 20-under. Zhang beat Noh by six shots to win the title last year.
