[Women's Golf] Nelson's National Championship Run Ends Early
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – Kimberly Nelson (JR/Miri, Sarawak)'s 2018 National Championship experience ended earlier than expected.
After a strong round that included 2 birdies and a +4 round at PGA National, the junior finished her first round with 76. This put her in a tie for 12th-place.
Upon turning in her scorecard for her second round, however, Nelson signed an incorrect scorecard. This mistake resulted in her disqualification from the rest of the competition. Her score of 80 on round two would have placed Nelson in the top 15 heading into day three.
Rain and thunderstorms have delayed the event. Full results have yet to be recorded. To view current standings and results, click here.
