[Men's Golf] Pfingsten Finishes 22nd in NAIA Men's Golf National Championship

Silvus, IllinoisMitch Pfingsten (SR/Fairmont, Minnesota) was the only male Viking golfer to compete in the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at TPC Deere Run.

In a field of 94 golfers, the Fairmont product finished in an impressive 22nd-place. Pfingsten shot an overall score of 288 (75-70-74-69). This left him +4 for the tournament.

The senior kept his best round of play for the end of the tournament. In Pfingsten's fourth and final round, he was -2 for the course which helped him rise 17 spots up the leaderboard.

Oklahoma City won the team championship, while S.M. Lee from Dalton State ran away with the individual medal. Lee carded a -12 for the tournament which was 8 strokes better than the 2nd-place competitor.
