[Men's Golf] St. Ambrose misses cut at NAIA Men's Golf National Championship
St. Ambrose is hosting the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. Twenty-nine teams and 156 players are vying for national titles.

St. Ambrose saw its run at the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship come to an end as the Bees missed the cut following Thursday's third round. SAU finished in a tie for 23rd in the 29-team field, and the top 17 teams and top 40 individuals plus ties advanced to Friday's final round.
Dylan Daxon was the top SAU finisher, ending in a tie for 68th with a 222 (71-76-75). Adam Hutson recovered from an opening-day 83 to post rounds of 75 and 72 for a 230 total. Josh Harrington shot a 234, Devin Hartman carded a 238 and Andrew Tichler finished with a 241.
Oklahoma City took the team lead while S.M. Lee of Dalton State (Ga.) maintained his individual lead.

Wednesday, May 16 - NAIA recap | results
St. Ambrose slipped on Day 2, coming in with a 313 on the heels of an opening-round 295. Adam Hutson had the Bees' best round, carding a 75 to go with his 83 Tuesday. Dylan Daxon has a 147 after firing second-day 76. The other three Bees all shot in the 80s. Devin Hartman had an 80, Josh Harrington ended with an 82 and Andrew Tichler shot an 85.
SAU will have some work to do Thursday to make the cut. The Bees sit in a tie for 21st place and the top 17 teams make the cut for Friday's final round.
Coastal Georgia grabbed a one-shot lead with a 3-under 565 two-day total. Dalton State is the only other team under par, coming in at 2-under 566. Dalton State's S.M. Lee holds the individual lead with a 5-under 137.

Tuesday, May 15 - NAIA recap | results
With the morning wave of teams setting the pace, St. Ambrose teed off in the afternoon and ended the first round of the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship in a three-way tie for 12th place. Josh Harrington led the opening-day charge, firing a 1-under 70, good for 12th place. Dylan Daxon shot an even-par 70 to sit in 21st place. Andrew Tichler and Devin Hartman each shot a 77, while Adam Hutson finished with an 83.
Keiser's Jack Dyer sits atop the leaderboard after his first-round 5-under 66. He holds a one-shot advantage over Taylor's Alec Dutkowski. Three players shot 3-under 68s and six more ended with 2-under 69s. A total of 20 players came in under par.
Behind Dyer, Keiser totaled a 5-under 279 to lead the team race. Taylor and Coastal Georgia each fired 280s and Dalton State is fourth with an even-par 284. St. Ambrose scored a 295.
