For the third straight year, and the sixth time in the last 10 years, St. Ambrose and the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau will play host to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship in Silvis, Ill.

The 67th annual event begins Tuesday and runs through Friday at TPC Deere Run, the host course of the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic.

St. Ambrose is one of 29 teams in the 2018 National Championship field. Twenty-one teams earned automatic bids by winning or finishing runner-up in their respective conferences and seven other teams received at-large berths. St. Ambrose qualified as the host school. The 156-player field also includes 11 individual qualifiers.

Grand View won the 2017 national championship and Texas Wesleyan's Rowan Lester returns as the defending individual champion after shooting a 3-over 287 (69-72-72-74) last year.

The 2018 tournament gets underway Tuesday with the first group teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
