[Men's Golf] Matt Winkelmann named CCAC All-Conference for third straight season

CHICAGO --- For the third consecutive season, Olivet Nazarene University's Matt Winkelmann (JR/Wheaton, Ill.), has represented the Tigers on the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) postseason awards list when the league office announced the 2017-18 winners for men's golf Thursday morning.

Winkelmann, the lone three-time selection on the five-member all-conference team, was named to the list after registering five top-ten finishes among the nine tournaments he competed in during the 2017-18 campaign.  He claimed individual medalist honors at the Olivet Nazarene University Spring Invite, shooting a 149 (+5), while helping Olivet to a second-place finish.  He finished third at the CCAC Cup shooting a season-low 71 and came in fourth at the Pilot Spring Invitational.

He placed tied for 15th (227, +14) at the CCAC Championships. Winkelmann shot in the 70s all three rounds and helped the Tigers finish seventh overall.  

Winkelmann played in 19 rounds among nine different invitationals. His scoring average was 75.42 and season-low score was 71.
