[Women's Golf] Trevecca Women's Golf | Rachael McMahan Moves Up @ NCAA D2 East Super Regional
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Trevecca Nazarene University sophomore Rachael McMahan completed day two at the 2018 NCAA Division II East Super Regional. McMahan moved up to 27th after carding a second round 77 (of 66) at the Katke Golf Course.
McMahan turned in an eight-over-par 80 on day one to sit 39th, but following the five-over 77 on Tuesday McMahan is now 27th.
On Wednesday McMahan begins play at 8:20 AM from hole No. 1.

MCMAHON REPORT
Rachael McMahan shot six over on the front nine Tuesday then turned in a one-under-par effort on the back nine for a five-over-par 77. On the back nine, McMahan opened with birdie, par, birdie and finished the final six holes at one over. Her two-day total is 80-77=157.
After two rounds of play, McMahan owns the third-best score on the par five holes. She is one under for the tournament (4.90). McMahan's five birdies are tied for sixth best in the field after two rounds.
Rachael McMahan is one of six individual selected to compete at the East Super Regional.
TOURNAMENT FIELD REPORT
Grand Valley State University leads the team competition with a 289 while the University of Findlay, the Great Midwest tournament champion, is tied for eighth with a 316 in the opening round.
Pilar Echeverria (UIndy) and Katie Chipman (Grand Valley) continue as the co-leaders with a matching four-under-par tournament effort of 69-71=146. MaKenzie Torres of Findlay is still the top individual from the Great Midwest with a 74-76=150.

The NCAA Division II women's golf east super regional is one of four regional sites. Each site consists of both team, and individual competition conducted concurrently with 12 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. The regional is hosted by Ferris State University.
KATKE GOLF COURSE (KATKE COURSE DETAILS)
The regional is 54 holes with the top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the NCAA national championships.
The national championships are May 16-19 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 72.
