PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Bryan College women's golf competed in their first tournament of the Spring 2018 season at the Point University Invitational held at the Lakeview Course at Callaway Gardens at Pine Mountain, Georgia. At the start of the event, which ran Mar. 12-13, golfers faced freezing temperatures and winds gusting at more than 30 mph, setting up extremely unfavorable conditions for everyone in the field. The difficult conditions caused the scores to soar with only four competitors able to break 80 on day one. One of those individuals was Lion record-holder Krista Reinhardt (JR/Tampa, Fla.). Reinhardt remained poised despite the bitter cold and shot an outstanding 76 to tie for 2nd place after the opening day of play. The only challenger to finish ahead of Reinhardt was Courtney Lowery of Point University, who registered an impressive one-under par 71 to nab the top spot on the leaderboard.
