[Men's Golf] SAU begins spring schedule at the Battle at Primm
St. Ambrose closed its Spring Break trip by competing in the Battle at Primm, at Primm Valley (Calif.) Golf Resort.
The Bees finished 18th in their first event of the spring, in a three-round tournament featuring several of the top teams in the country.
Andrew Tichler led the way, firing a 224. He had the team's best round of the tournament, shooting a 1-over 71 in the second round. Tichler opened with a 76 and closed with a 77 Tuesday.
Josh Harrington also had a strong second round, firing a 2-over 72 to help him finish with a 226 (75-72-79).
Adam Hutson sandwiched rounds of 75 around an 80 to finish with a 230. Ben Hanser shot a 232 (81-77-74) and Thomas Resnick carded a 239 (82-76-81).
Oklahoma City's David Meyers was the individual medalist with a 15-under 195 to help his team win the team title with an 811.
St. Ambrose finished with rounds of 307-296-305 for a 908.
