[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Falcons Come in Seventh at KCAC #1 Tournament
WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons finished seventh in the first leg of the KCAC women's golf tournament that wrapped up today (Mar. 20) at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita.
Sharing the top spot was Kansas Wesleyan University (355-343-698) and Oklahoma Wesleyan University (350-348-698).
The Falcons battled to record a second round score of 389, 17 strokes better than yesterday's total of 406.
Paige Savage (FR/Arlington, Texas) was the top finishing Falcon, coming in 18th overall with a score of 98-94-192.
Maddie Young (FR/Enid, Okla.) was tied for 22nd (100-96-196), with Maddy Hart (FR/El Dorado, Kan.) winding up 27th (101-101-202) for the Falcons.
Lea Clubb (SR/Andover, Kan.) checked in tied for 30th overall at 107-98-205.
The Falcons, under second-year head coach Paul Howe, will next be in action on Apr. 2-3 at the Moundbuilder Classic at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, Kan.
