[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Falcons Wind Up 11th at Bellevue Spring Break Classic
SAN ANTONIO – The Friends University Women's Golf Falcons came in 11th at the Bellevue Spring Break Classic that wrapped up today (Mar. 10) at the Brackenridge Golf Course in San Antonio.
Dalton State took home the tourney title with a score of 302-292-594, 12 strokes ahead of Texas Wesleyan University.
Entering today, Dalton State trailed TWU by one shot, but recorded a 292 in the final round to comfortably finish on top.
The Falcons shot a 365-366-731 for the tourney, led by Taylor Sandoval (SO/Eagle, Colo.)'s 83-88-171 that put her tied for 44th overall.
Paige Savage (FR/Arlington, Texas) was 55th (90-96-186), Lea Clubb (SR/Andover, Kan.) 56th (93-94-187), Maddie Young (FR/Enid, Okla.) 57th (99-91-190) and Maddy Hart (FR/El Dorado, Kan.) finished 59th overall (118-93-211) for Friends.
The Falcons, under second year head coach Paul Howe, will next compete in the first leg of the KCAC Tournament, to be held Mar. 19-20 at the Crestview Country Club (North Course) in Wichita.
