[Men's Golf] Callaghan Signs with Men's Golf; Brings International Experience
The Grand View University men's golf team and Head Coach Chris Winkel are excited to announce the signing of Evan Callaghan for the 2018-2019 season.
Callaghan, a native of Stellarton, Nova Scotia in Canada and student-athlete at Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault, Minnesota, brings a wealth of experience to the Vikings. Callaghan was a member of the U17 Team Canada at the 2016 Euro Junior Golf Cup in St. Andrew's Scotland. He helped his team to a second-place finish. He also won the PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior Championship (U19) in Nova Scotia at the age of 16.
"I am very excited about Evan joining our program. He is a very strong player and will be the foundation for our continued success for the next four years," said Coach Winkel about Callaghan.
Evan is the son of Aaron and Keah Callaghan. He is undecided on his major but enjoys studying math and business.
