The odds are Tiger Woods will miss the cut in his return to Torrey Pines

Will Tiger make it to the weekend at Torrey? One oddsmaker bets he won’t.

The golf world can’t wait for the Tiger Woods Comeback Tour to roll into San Diego, but at least one oddsmaker suggests fans make plans for next weekend that do not include watching the biggest draw in golf driving for a record ninth win at Torrey Pines.

BetDSI out of Costa Rica offers several Tiger-related odds for the Big Cat’s 2018 debut at the Farmers Insurance Open, which opens on Thursday on a course Woods owned for several years. But those eight victories (including a triumph at the 2008 U.S. Open, his last major championship title) seem eons ago, given Woods’ more recent struggles at Torrey.

With Woods missing the cut at last year’s Farmers, on top of his 2015 glutes-related withdrawal, T80 finish in 2014, and the overall question about how he’ll perform in his latest return to competition, the Sportsbook expects to see the 42-year-old superstar packing it up before Saturday. Despite his T9 finish at last month’s Hero World Challenge, doing so with no pain, Tiger is coming off four back surgeries since March 2014 and has not won anywhere since 2013.

Tiger will also be competing against a stacked field featuring 12 of the top 26 players in the world, including rising star Jon Rahm, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Rose, and Rickie Fowler, as well as Phil Mickelson and Jason Day.

Betting primer: you must put down $140 to win $100 if you believe Woods will make an early exit from the Farmers. A gambler banking on Woods to play all 72 holes will win $110 with a $100 wager.

There are several other Tiger-specific bets available at BetDSI, including whether he will finish in the top 10, post another WD, card an 80 or worse, or fire a 64 or better in a round.
