Get a Ruling • Player/Marker disagreement

A marker has to continually correct a players score. Eventually he gives up and tells the player that he will put in whatever score the player wants, but will not sign the card as he does not agree with the players count.
At the end of the round the marker hands in the card to the officials and states that he has not signed the card as the scores are incorrect. The two card agree because the marker filled in whatever the player claimed to be his score. The played is disqualified, but later reinstated as the rules official based the decision on the fact that the 2 cards had the same score.
Question - Should the dq stand
                 Should the marker be disqualified.
