[Women's Golf] Trevecca Women's Golf | Team Moves to 8th; @ TNU Town & Country Next
NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team finished play in their own Music City Invitational at the Old Hickory Country Club Tuesday. The talented field included the 2017 NCAA Division II runner-up in the University of Indianapolis and Grand Valley State University – the 12th place team at nationals. Winds played a factor again with scores across the field.
Trevecca moved up on Tuesday to finish 8th with two golfers, Rachael McMahan (20th) and Lexie Shaw (24th) finishing in the Top 25 in the 88-person field.

TREVECCA TEAM
Rachael McMahan shot (77-81) 158 to finish 20th. Lexie Shaw turned in a (80-80) 160 to finish 24th. Brynn Craven carded a (89-87) 176. Madalyn Hembree finished 44th with a (87-79) 166. Sophie Vinson shot (90-90) 180. Teagan Perry played as an individual and shot (89-88) 177.
TOURNAMENT FIELD REPORT
The University of Indianapolis won the event with a 300-295=595. Carson-Newman University had a 304 on Tuesday and pulled into second with a 311-304=615, tipping Grand Valley State University (303-313=616) by a stroke.
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference representatives were led by University of Findlay (310-315=625) in fourth. Trevecca is next with their 333-327=660 in 8th place. The other three G-MAC members are Malone University (327-335=662) in 10th, Walsh University (336-333=669) in 11th, and Ohio Dominican University (336-346=682) in 14th.
TOURNAMENT LEADERBOARD DETAILS
Katie Chipman of Grand Valley State one-over-par (70-75=145) to take the Medalist honors. Annika Haynes (73-73=146) and Katharina Keillich (74-72=146) of the University of Indianapolis tied for second.
WHAT'S NEXT
The team will play once more in 2017 before getting ready for the spring season. Trevecca plays in the Tennessee State University Town & Country October 30-31 at McCabe Golf Course. The Spring schedule starts with the Converse College Invitational February
