[Men's Golf] Mens Golf: Point Places Sixth in Tennessee Intercollegiate Invitational

LOUDON, Tenn.   The Point University men's golf team totaled 618 strokes (42 over par) for 36 holes and placed sixth among 17 teams at the Bojangles Tennessee Intercollegiate Invitational at the Tennessee National Golf Course in Loudon, Tenn., Oct. 16-17.  Point was one of four NAIA Top 25 teams in the event, which also included nine Appalachian Athletics Conference schools.

The Skyhawks, which rank 18th in the current NAIA National Men's Golf Coaches Poll, finished Monday's first 18-hole round in seventh place with 311 strokes, just four strokes out of fourth place.  Point totaled 307 strokes with its four scoring golfers in Tuesday's second round and moved up on position in the final standings.
