Thank you for the clarification of my understanding of this Rule. I wanted to make sure because even though this is a very narrow situation, seems like a generous gift (having a choice of which ball to hit) from the Ruling Bodies. Plus, it seems a little ironic given that playing a pb was to save time in the first place that it now takes additional time to evaluate which ball is to the player's advantage to hit. I'm trying to understand some of the principles behind the Rules and this one just has me befuddled. I guess some of them just fall in the category of "it is what it is." Thanks for your help is explaining this one.
