[Women's Golf] Friends Women's Golf Records Third Place Finish at Central Kansas Classic
McPherson, Kan. – The Friends University Women's Golf Falcons put together a solid third-place finish at the rain-shortened Central Kansas Classic, which wrapped up yesterday (Oct. 10) at the Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kan.
Barton County CC won the tourney with a score of 344, 18 strokes in front of Bethany College.
The Falcons put together a team score of 379, led by All-Tournament selection Taylor Sandoval's 88. Sandoval finished tied for fifth overall.
Next for the Falcons was Lea Clubb, who wound up tied for 11th with a score of 95.
Maddie Young shot a 97 to come in 17th, while Maddy Hart recorded a 99 to come in tied for 21st.
Paige Savage produced a 103 to finish tied for 26th for the Falcons.
The Falcons will next compete at the Baker University Invitational, to be held Oct. 18-19 at the Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kan.
