[Women's Golf] SAU takes fifth at rain-shortened William Penn Classic

St. Ambrose wrapped up its fall season with a fifth-place finish at the William Penn Classic.

The originally-scheduled two-day event at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa, Iowa, was shortened to a single day after Tuesday's round was started but ultimately rained out.

A pair of Bees earned top-15 finishes. Abigail Scheidecker finished in a tie for 11th with an 83, a single shot out of an eighth-place tie. Teammate Emily Jean was a shot back, taking 15th place with an 84.

Alyson Scheidecker shot a 90, Elyse Kalb fired a 93 and Mackenna Munson finished with a 100.

As a team, the Bees were fifth in the 10-team field with a 350. SAU finished in the top half in three of four fall tournaments, including a pair of runner-up finishes.
