[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Falcons Finish Seventh at Kansas Wesleyan Invite

Salina, Kan. – The Friends University Women's Golf Falcons wound up seventh at the Kansas Wesleyan Invite that wrapped up today (Oct. 3) at the Salina Country Club in Salina, Kan.

Dodge City Community College took home the tourney title with a 343-335-678 score, edging out Kansas Wesleyan University by two strokes.

The Falcons put together a score of 383-370-753 at the tourney.

Taylor Sandoval (SO/Eagle, Colo.) had the best finish of tied for 18th for the Falcons, shooting a 91 both days for a total of 182.

Maddy Hart (FR/El Dorado, Kan.) came in tied for 26th at 92-95-187, while Paige Savage and Lea Clubb (SR/Andover, Kan.) each finished tied for 34th for the Falcons with identical scores of 103-92-195. Maddie Young (FR/Enid, Okla.) recorded a score of 97-103-200 to check in 40th overall.

The Falcons, under first-year head coach Paul Howe, will next compete at the Central Kansas Classic starting next Monday (Oct. 9) at the Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kan.
