[Men's Golf] Blain Turner Wins Salisbury Memorial, Trevecca Men's Golf 2nd
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team finished second (293-310=603) at the Dan Salisbury Memorial hosted by the University of Illinois Springfield at the Panther Creek Country Club. Trevecca freshman Blain Turner (FR/Mt. Juliet, TN) won his first career tournament with a Medalist-worthy three-under par (69-72) 141.
Turner's 141 36-hole total is tied for the eighth lowest tournament score in program history.

Trevor Lay (SR/Kewanee, IL) tied for second with a 74-73=147 ... Landon Cottrell (SO/Memphis, TN) made the top 20 with a 19th place finish after carding a 73-83=156 ... Blain Turner led the tournament in par three scoring averaging a two-under par 2.75 ... Turner placed second, behind teammate Trevor Lay, in par four scoring at three-over par 4.15 ... Turner was four-under par (4.50) on the par five holes, which tied him for fourth in the field ... Turner finished second in the field with eight birdies and third with 24 pars ...
