SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team opened this weekend's play at the Dan Salisbury Memorial on Saturday. The event is hosted annually by the University of Illinois Springfield at the Panther Creek Country Club.
Rachel McMahan led the Trevecca scoring with a four-over par 76. She is in third in the field of 34.
Trevecca finished with a 324 and are second in the field and 18 back of the hosts, the University of Illinois-Springfield.

TREVECCA TEAM
Lexie Shaw (SO/Knoxville, TN) is fourth overall with a five-over par 77. Brynn Craven (SO/McMinnville, TN) and Madalyn Hembree (FR/Chattanooga, TN) locked down the final two team scores with an 83 and 88 respectively. Teagan Perry (SO/Decherd, TN) is also competing and recorded a 93.
TOURNAMENT FIELD REPORT
Illinois Springfield leads the event with a 306 while Maryville University-St. Louis is two back of the Trojans with an opening round 328. Fellow Great Midwest member Kentucky Wesleyan is also in the field and are fifth with a 400.

The top two individual scores come from the Illinois Springfield roster. Brooke Hill leads the way with a one-over par 73 and Jennifer Queller is next at 74.

The Trojans play round two on Sunday before visiting hosting the Trevecca Music City Invitational at the Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, TN on October 23-24.
