[Men's Golf] Mount Marty College Invitational Day 1 Recap
After round one of the Mount Marty College Invitational at Hillcrest Country Club, the Lancers sit in sixth place with a full day of golf remaining.
The team finished with a total score of 330 on Monday. Joe Brinkman (JR/Jackson, MN) was the top golfer for the Lancers with a 76. Collin Matthews (SR/Winnebago, NE) finished with an 81, while A.J. Fernandez shot 85. Adam Roskam (FR/Canton, SD) and Ty Kinneberg (JR/Parkston, SD) rounded out the sixth place Lancers, each shooting 88.
The Lancers have two teams in the two-day, home tournament, as the second team sits in 12th place with a 365. Pat Mulvaney (SR/White Bear Lake, MN) led the way for the Lancers posting his best score of the season with an 82. Mat Jensen (SO/Yankton, SD) tallied an 88, while Zack Mauch (FR/Wisner, NE) finished with a 97. Sully Lewis (SO/Arnold, NE) totaled a 98 for the Lancers.
The MMC Invite is the last time the Lancers will play before they kickoff the Fall GPAC Meet on October 2-3 at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls.
The tournament will move across town to Fox Run Golf Course for day two of the event. Tournament action will begin at 10 am on Tuesday.
