[Women's Golf] Fall tournaments showing vast improvement for women's golf
Georgetown College women's golf played its second fall match this past Monday and Tuesday. The Tigers were host to the Fall Mid-South Conference Championship. Along with all the MSC teams, Midway and Asbury played for a 10-team event.
"It was a huge tournament and a really good chance for my players to experience such a large event," said GC coach Marlene Schulte. "We saw progress and great work in that first tournament two weeks ago, the improved play from my three upper classmen has been great these first two tournaments. Baylee Salyers, Mary Catherine Borders and Kylie Speicher have done great improving their scores from a year ago by margins as large as 13 strokes. Our conference is so tough that we need to stay focused on improving from tournament to tournament and that has been assistant coach Katie White and I's focus. There are still areas we need to do better on as a team.
