My score would be the following:

drive into WH = 1
drops ball into WH = 3 SP ( 2 + 1) D 20-7/2
he plays that ball = 1
he substitutes a ball = 2 SP (no Serious breach)
he plays = 1
he putts = 2
For a total of 5 strokes + 5 SP = 10 (versus 11 for quincy)
The difference comes probably from to the fact that quincy assumed that the location of his ball was known? D 18-2/8.5
On that basis we all 3 would come to 5 SP!
If correct, I found nevertheless this exercise very interesting!

Thanks again John for input – JMC

I think there is a minor glitch in your Quincy reference sentence above.  The 5SP version requires the location of the ball after the shot from the WH to be sighted/precisely known.  The 6SP (Quincy) version is if the location is not precisely known.
Thank you Thom for bringing this mistake to my attention! Indeed that is exactly what the last paragraph of D 18-2/8.5 is stating!
Thanks and regards - JMC
